Honor Magic 3 series Beyond Epic

After a long time Honor launched their Flagship Smartphone with Beast Hardware and Software.

There are some similarities in specifications of Honor Magic 3 and Honor Magic 3 Pro.

Display :

It comes with a 6.76" Flex curved OLED 3D panel (89° Curvature) which has 120Hz refresh rate and super resolution of 2772 × 1344px. Super display comes with super brightness of 4096, 1.07 Billions colour, DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10+, Delta E < 0.8 High colour accuracy which gives immersive viewing experience with true colours and high brightness. Display also has water and dust resistance [IP68 (Honor Magic 3 Pro) & IP54 (Honor Magic 3)].

Camera :

The rear camera department is quite similar across both devices with a 50MP Sony IMX 766 main module on both devices paired with a 64MP monochrome sensor and 13MP ultrawide lens. The Pro model also gets a 64MP telephoto module with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The partnership is to offer superior video and audio experiences for smartphones via IMAX Enhanced. The new Honor Magic 3 having the IMAX Enhanced audio and video experience. Honor Magic 3 series is the first smartphone to have the IMAX Enhanced feature offering an expanded aspect ratio and immersive sound.

Front camera come with a pill-shaped cutout for 13MP main alongside a 3D ToF depth sensor for a more secure face unlock.

Performance :

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 Plus sits at the helm of both phones paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.Kryo 680 CPU runs at lightning-fast speeds up to 3.0 GHz* for seamless, robust performance while preserving power,With more than 20% AI performance upgrade, the astounding 32 TOPS enables the Snapdragon 888+ to run multiple neural networks, The 3rd gen Snapdragon™ X60 5G Modem-RF System delivers truly global 5G, supporting virtually every 5G network with blazing download speeds up to 7.5 Gbps. Both phones pack 4,600 mAh batteries with 66W fast wired charging and 50W wireless top-ups on any compatible Qi charger.

Availablity :

Honor Magic3 comes in two designs and retails for €899. There’s the Golden Hour and Blue Hour models which boast synthetic leather while the classic Black and White options feature a more traditional glass back.

Magic3 Pro comes in Golden Hour, Black and White colors and goes for €1,099. Both phones launch in China first with global availability to be detailed later on.

> Honor Magic 3 Pro Plus

Honor Magic3 Pro+, which is the top in the series. This phone brings four cameras with very large sensors and gorgeous looks while sharing its screen and internals with its siblings.

Display :

This means the Magic3 Pro+ has a 6.67” Flex OLED with 89-degree curvatures on the sides and a 120Hz refresh rate. HDR10+ support is also part of the deal and unlike the other two Magic 3 phones here Honor used a “Nano Crystal Shield” that is three times tougher than typical protective panels.

Camera :

The hexagon camera setup is arguably where most of the upgrades for the Pro+ took place. Instead of Sony IMX766, Honor has placed a 50MP IMX700 1/1.28” sensor by Sony with a 1.22um pixel size. It sits behind a 23mm f/1.9 lens and supports Full Pixel Octa PD AutoFocus.

The ultrawide camera is also a major step forward compared to the other Magic3 devices - it has a 1/2" 64MP sensor and f/2.4 aperture.

The other two snappers are shared with the Magic3 Pro - 64MP f/1.8 monochrome shooter and 64MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The fifth camera cutout is for an 8x8 dTOF for clear portrait shots.

The front-facing camera in the pill-shaped punch hole has 100-degree FoV and sits next to a ToF sensor.

Availablity :

The Magic Pro+ runs Magic UI 5 on top of the Android 11 OS, but no word from the Honor execs on stage about Google services, since the phone is first heading to China.

The Honor Magic3 Pro+ has only one memory option - 12/512 GB. Offered in either Ceramic Black or Ceramic White, it will cost €1,499. The global rollout of the phone is expected at a later date.

Honor Magic 3 series sharing some similar Specs with each other. All Phones will get 2 years of major updates.
